Chrysler Pacifica vs. Honda Odyssey

Both the 2023 Pacifica and the Odyssey make room for the entire clan with three rows of seating and baseline seating for up to seven.

However, when it comes to comfort, you may notice a few key differences in measurements:

As you can see, when it comes to second-row hip room, these minivans both offer ample space. However, this is where their similarities end. Clearly, overall, the Pacifica has much more room for you and your family to stretch out, which is shown in the 165 cubic feet of passenger space it has to offer over the Odyssey’s 163.6 cubic feet.

When it comes to their interiors, the Pacifica and the Odyssey share a few other features in common, like their heated seats and automatic climate control. Both models offer more than 140 cubic feet of cargo volume. However, only the Pacifica has the available Stow 'n Go® Seating and Storage System.

This allows you to completely fold the seats into the floor to make more room for cargo. If your seats are fully occupied, you can also use that below-floor storage space for your bags and other items.

Starting off simply, both minivans come with a standard touchscreen. In the Odyssey, this screen is eight inches, while the Pacifica offers a 10.1-inch screen that may be easier to see. In addition, both models provide available rear entertainment systems for your kids to enjoy.

The Honda Odyssey has a 10.2-inch screen, while the Pacifica offers dual 10-inch screens instead. Both have built-in streaming apps, though only the Pacifica allows you to download your favorite shows and movies.

While the Pacifica and the Odyssey come standard with fewer than 10 speakers each, you can easily upgrade in either model. In fact, the Chrysler Pacifica can be equipped with the available 19-speaker Harman Kardon® Premium Audio System.

While you can upgrade your audio system in the Odyssey, the most you’ll find is 11 speakers.

The Pacifica has you covered when it comes to power due to its 3.6L V6 engine that generates as much as 287 horsepower. With it propelling you down the road, passing vehicles or climbing steep hills is going to be easy.

Unfortunately, the Odyssey is not able to supply quite as much oomph. The most you can expect from its engine is 280 horsepower.

One place where you’ll find similarities between these two models is in fuel economy. They share an EPA-estimated 19 city/28 highway MPG rating, making it easy to fuel up and head off on your next adventure.
